The world's first online community dedicated to the offensive line

Hey guys,

Thought I would give this a try, but I am in dire need of some tractor tire workouts (maybe there are others than just flips) and I am also looking for hills workouts (running up them, etc.) any help would be greatly appreciated! I am currently helping out my high school offensive line and got a tractor tire and would love to put them through these two drills!

Thanks guys!

If you have access to a harness tire drags are always fun (kinda like sled pulls only heavier)

Sorry, posted to your wall instead of this thread. We also do flip, hop in the tire, hop out of the tire, flip, etc... 5 times for time. One of my kids that just went D-1 holds the record, 23 seconds with a 600+ pound tire.

Get yourself a good sledge hammer. Beating on that tire is a great way to strengthen the core up and build explosive power. you can square yourself up to it and swing downwards motions out of a good stance over each shoulder or straight over your head. Then turn your body perpendicular to what would be the center line of the tire and rotate into it with a low baseball bat type swing to the side of the tire.

I used the tractor tires as a finisher for my workouts and as a main lower body exercise. It is all about variety and keeping track of your progress. I like hills for speed and speed endurance workouts. Progress weekly with the amount of reps or beating your time and you will progress nicely.
