I'm extremely proud of Taylor Boggs, former Humboldt State center that has spent almost two years out of football and was recently signed by the Bears. His dedication to realizing his dream is as inspiring as any "rags to riches" type story there is. The level of commitment it takes to maintain focus and…

Former Virginia Tech offensive tackle Vinston Painter did a phenomenal job of displaying a high level of competitive aptitude at the NFL combine. Contrary to popular belief, the NFL combine is not constructed to have players run and jump to the best of their ability. Prior to testing the players are yanked…

I consider myself a highly blessed individual in many instances but having the opportunity to spend my time around ultra competitive individuals is one of the blessings I am most thankful for. I’ve always been very interested in people, although I’m not naturally inclined to be what’s popularly…

Dealing with large athletes on a daily basis, there are several mechanical trends that present themselves. Most of the athletes I work with are offensive linemen, which present a host of position-specific injuries such as elbow issues and other mechanical flaws such as poor posture. Much of…

49ers Alex Boone made a pretty amazing middle of game adjustment by moving from right guard to left tackle this past weekend against the Giants. I guess the bigger "news" here is the scouting report that was done on him prior to entering the NFL. Boone, is a reminder that many people can SAY what they want about you, but only you can determine if their statements are proven valid or false.
Are you going to allow others to dictate who you are? …
