Tight Calves

While working with HS and College O-lineman the past few weeks I have recognized a few structural imbalances that exist with all of these HOGS.  As LeCharles stated in previous blogs, the VMO, Glute Medius, and the Lower Back all seem to be a problem (especially with the HS athletes), at the very least they are weak in at least two of these areas.  There is a fourth that holds true for 11 of the 12 HOGS i have worked with and it is tight calves. For the sake of simplicity the calve has three…See More

Fixing the lower leg PART 1

Now that camp has come to an end and the season is upon us, its time for us to address some of the overuse issues that have occurred in attempts to stay healthy through the season.  Our first fix is going to involve the foot and lower leg.
