Left Tackle Help
Hello. I'm 6'3, 220 lbs, and play left tackle. I've only been playing football for a year now, and I've developed a pretty good pass block, however I can never seem to get off the ball fast enough to run block effectively. This also becomes a problem when I have to pull. Outside of the training that I receive from my coaches, does anyone know of a good drill to train my explosiveness off the ball? Also, are there any position-specific weight lifts that I should be doing?
