make a line in between the two lineman and have them go head to head. whoever crosses the line first wins
Basically a reverse tug o war, drive the other guy off the line.
Get them driving sleds/bags/other players for 10 yards but watch their initial steps.
Just keep stressing that point though
i like to do king of the ring with my kids. make a ring with marking paint 6-8 ft wide circle.put two kids in the middle tell them they are both offense the first one to drive the other out the ring wins.first i pair them up ,then i let them call each other out , and last i have all my linemens name on a old deck of cards the first two names i pull are first two to go head to head the winner stays in the ring then i draw another card to see who goes next and so forth.the last kid in the ring is king of the ring for that day.the kids love the drill.i tell my kids they got to be mean and physical to play the line.so before the drill i pick a different kid each time we do the drill .i have them get into a break down huddle and he says physical on three 1-2-3 physical ! keep the drill as live as possible.goodluck hope it works.

Put the linemen on a 12x36 board or plank and make them take properly distanced steps, according to block needed for the play. Make sure you use the cadence that their quarterback will use, in order to drill that sequence into their head. At the begining of the drill make them fire off the ball versus air and pump their feet to increase their endurance. Then add a line man with a pad and then against a live man. Be sure to associate a play with each step. Above all else be as nasty and mean as possible. This can also be done with a sled.
